Denial is also nothing.

Right now Cape Town is in denial.

For those not familiar with what is going down here. Cape Town is on the verge of what is being labeled as DAY ZERO. In other words, no water will come out of the taps when we expect it to. As in nothing. Zero. Squat. Vok all.

Also known as. Civil war. Anarchy. Xenophobia. Hysteria. Man eat man. Death.

And yet we continue to avoid the hard truth.

After hearing Nathan Geffen interviewed by Benito Vergotine on Smile FM last night. The show called THE HONEST TRUTH. Even this show is believing the bullshit.

Nathan Geffen from “Human Rights Ethical” News Agency Ground Up said (paraphrasing) “we can’t blame the agriculture industry as without them we would have lose so many jobs and the economy would be crippled. And then he went on to say that it truly is the worst drought of the Western Cape catchment area in our history and the cause for this was human enforced climate change.”

Can’t you see or do I need to spell it out?

Maybe this will help?Nathan, what do you think of this image above? Mmusi Maimane (leader of DA government responsible for Cape Town who just launched the heroic campaign below to save water), you too? As long as you have a good economy and employment rates, right – we would hate to lose votes. That’s all that matters.Nathan/ Mmusi. I have two questions for you guys.

What are the biggest water consumers in the Western Cape?

What is the most significant cause of climate change?

These JOBS that are so important to us are the most significant contributors of both the water shortage (dairy, meat and beer industries consume HUGE amounts of water) AND the climate change (animal agriculture) that caused the drought.

Mmusi –

How’s the precious economy going to look without water? I fear it may be more horrific than changing the industry that is creating the problem and many more than problems in the first place.

Do you really believe your own bullshit that you are doing all that you can to save water?

Nathan –

Maybe you want to reconsider your statement bru? Or get a new job and allow someone who is really willing to speak the honest truth to take over? I’m thinking you would be a great politician perhaps?

I have already written to Premier Helen Zille about this too. Because she is a woman who has stood up against evil her whole life. But even Premier Zille is silent on this matter: http://johnmcinroy.com/activism/dear-premier-zille/

We are kidding ourselves that we are using 87 litres or 50 litres per day. It’s all total bullshit: Most people don’t even bother with this anyway, and even if they did it wouldn’t be anywhere close to the actual amount. Rich people just think they can pay their way to more water, poor communities know scarcity and have been showering with buckets forever already.

So this chart is basically for humans that don’t eat? How long are we going to put our heads in the sand on this one?

THESE INDUSTRIES ARE MAKING US BELIEVE THEY ARE INDISPENSABLE.

OR RATHER US BELIEVING THAT THEY ARE, IS INDISPENSABLE TO THEIR PROFITS REGARDLESS OF THE SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL COSTS.

And in case you are struggling to hear all of this, here’s more for you to chew on.

Those 3 industries are also perpetuating violence, rape and degradation of females. If you want to drink something (milk) that comes from a female that has been artificially impregnated by force, eat a burnt dead body (factory farming) that has been traumatized and violently killed and drink a substance (alcohol/ beer) that has caused more domestic violence and violation than any other, please go ahead.

Just don’t be surprised if all those things continue in the world around you.

“The time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look on the murder of men.”

Leonardo da Vinci 1452-1519

Ps. Why have we taken 28 years to realize we should use as little as possible all the time not just now because we are about to run out.

This is the Cape Times from 1990.

Oh yeah… for the sake of the people, the jobs. Makes total sense!

JOBS OVER WATER.

And you think I’m the radical one!!

History will hold you to account. The only way we can make change happen, is if we are prepared to change ourselves.

My future. Your future. Our Future. Depends on it.

  • ‪Hi John.

Good piece. I mostly agree with you. One point I’d like to disagree with is the characterization of the possible fall-out as “anarchy”.

I believe anarchy is in fact precisely what we need right now. This water crisis is a reminder that outsourcing the means of survival to an elitist few (or any centralized authority) means that we ensure our perpetual slavery.

I’m trying to become self-sufficient where I am responsible for my own livelihood (independent of government services) and in doing so I can reclaim my personal sovereignty.

“Anarchy” should be disentangled from meaning mayhem or lawlessness. Anarchy is the recognition that no man or entity shall have dominion over another. Voluntaryism before coercion.

Wikipedia defines it far better than I have:
